This was an astronomy field trip out of Cabrillo. We had partial clouding those nights, so I didn't get to take any astrophotos like I'd hoped, but we did get in some observing. The day trip to a borax mine and some crazy guy's tunnel were fairly interesting.

We encountered some local wildlife, including spooking a barn owl that swept silently past us out of the borax mine.
